Why You Should Try Sewing Pattern McCalls 7443

    November 17, 2021 / 8 Comments

Early June was the perfect time for sewing pattern McCalls 7443 and completing a review because the last few weeks had been raining every few days. I know this pattern is not available, but I'm positive I am not the only one who is hoarding it...

DIY Wrap Top Using Simplicity 8424

    February 12, 2021 / 4 Comments

Did you miss me? January was such a crazy month I would start a blog post, but then completely get distracted and didn't get to share this wrap top I made using Simplicity 8424. Ironically enough this is the perfect time to share it for two reasons Valentine's day is this Sunday and the fabric that I used is from a Black and Latina own fabric company called Melanated Fabrics.

How to Adjust Any Sewing Pattern From Woven to Stretch Fabric

    December 29, 2020 / 10 Comments

Hey you Introverts, have you ever found a pattern you loved, but didn’t want to make it out of stiff fabric with no give? I will walk you through how to adjust any sewing pattern from woven to stretch fabric. If you follow me on Instagram or on my Facebook page then you may remember the teal sweater knit fabric that you see here. Earlier this year, I mentioned purchasing it from SAS Fabrics. Hi! Who am I you ask? I am a shy girl who has a sarcastic and goofy side and has found sewing to be my outlet to break out of my shell. I grew up with siblings so I like to share my knowledge with those around me. I look forward to getting to you know you.

Shout out to Marcia from @keechiibstyle If you’re looking for an easy project to get your motivation going, why not start with a simple loungewear set? It’s a great way to practice basic sewing techniques, and you can sure a variety of different knit fabrics to choose from to make it unique. I used Vogue 1835 and McCalls 7607. These projects will give you the opportunity to practice working with stretch knits while still being an enjoyable and achievable project. Good luck! The wait is over! The blog post on this coat is up NOW. Ask me any questions that you have.  I thought I would share some information about myself with you. Which fact is untrue? Here we are, finally. It’s been a crazy year and month - I’ve been dealing with some serious health concerns that required me to take time off from my sewing blog. Thankfully, everything has turned out okay in the end. However, this event wasn’t one of those things that I needed or wanted; it was simply an unwelcome headache on top of too many other issues. Never have I ever… had to roll up fabric like a burrito to stitch a lining in place. This has definitely been one of my most interesting projects. Once it’s done, you will get a thorough blog post of EVERYTHING. Happy Anniversary to my hubby. This is one of my favorite pics of us. Looking forward to more years to come. There is nobody else I would want to be on this journey with. Looking for a unique gift 🎁. I’m dropping sneak peaks until my jewelry shop launch on 11.17.22. (This is a sweatshirt I made with scrape fabric)
